Guess what I did last night? No, really, guess.
...this was better than whatever you guessed! For those of you who already know where I was, and feel the need to mock me, screw you guys, I enjoyed the hell out of myself!
I went to a Brad Paisley concert with and it was AWESOME! In fact it was so great, I went on a rant on the way home in which I used the word 'awesome' seven times in one and a half sentences. Yes, one and a half.
We got to stand right next to the stage (literally touching it! and pretty much touching Brad Paisley himself...) and got great seats when we were kicked out of the front-and-center area, because my mom is freaking fabulous. It was my (very) late birthday present, but it was worth the wait! Up until now, the only concert I'd been to was Hilary Duff (don't worry, we won the tickets, so we didn't actually pay money or anything), and I'm incredibly happy to replace that experience with this one!
The opening acts were great too, and I have to say I love Jimmy Wayne and Dierks Bentley. (I still have dibs on bass-guy and Jimmy Wayne's guitar-guy, Emily!) All in all, this whole show was epic and I'm so ridiculously glad I got to go and got to share this with my friend!
I'm wearing my t-shirt that I got there right now and staring at the pick Emily caught and gave to me BECAUSE SHE ROCKS! Anybody have an idea of how to share one guitar pick without causing it harm? Or having to do some sort of dumb shared custody thing, of course.
So this journal is really about me being pumped from seeing the coolest concert ever and thanking both my mom and Emily for being my favorite kind of people. I hope everybody gets a chance to see a person/band they love at a really good concert, because it kicks major ass! For those of you who already have done so, I now know how frickin' sweet the experience is and I may be a concert junkie....
